Mike and Jessica Fritz immigrated from Germany to Canada a decade ago,
and exchanged busy Toronto city life for coastal living on PEI in 2016.
As dual citizens, they like to combine the best of their two cultures in
their every day. The idea to bring marzipan, a typical German treat, to
the island was born soon after they settled on the Northshore.
Maritime Marzipan, launched in November 2017, combines classic marzipan made out of almonds with new and local flavours such as mint water or PEI sea salt. Covered in high-quality Belgian chocolate, shaped into a variety of forms. Next to an established product line, seasonal products will keep coming out. Summer items will be inspired by seaside living. And don’t miss out on the Original PEI Marzipan Potato.
If as a gift or to treat yourself, see what’s in store at Artisans on Main or in their own shop at the St. Peters Bay Landing.
